Deputy Manager- Plant Engineering

We are looking for a Deputy Manager- Plant Engineering to join Endress Hauser FLIN at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

 

What is the role about? 

 

The role is responsible for providing strategic and functional leadership in Plant Engineering by ensuring reliability, standardization, and continuous improvement across plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.

It focuses on building strong engineering capabilities, driving maintenance excellence through TPM–PM practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading energy management and sustainability initiatives to support overall plant performance.

 

 

Which tasks will you perform? 

 

Maintenance Strategy & Execution

  • Planning and executing preventive and breakdown maintenance through SAP EAM
  • Developing and optimizing maintenance strategies (PM, TBM, CBM, Predictive)
  • Improving maintenance practices based on RCA/RCFA learnings

Technical Leadership

  • Acting as the technical authority for equipment and utility systems
  • Standardizing engineering and maintenance practices
  • Mentoring engineering teams and technicians

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • Leading breakdown analysis and implementing permanent solutions
  • Improving MTBF, MTTR, and equipment availability
  • Driving TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives

Projects & Engineering Support

  • Managing equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning
  • Supporting plant infrastructure and utility projects

Resource & Cost Management

  • Managing spares, AMC contracts, and maintenance budgets
  • Optimizing cost vs reliability balance

Energy & Sustainability

  • Driving energy optimization initiatives
  • Supporting ISO 50001 implementation
  • Identifying and implementing energy conservation opportunities

Compliance & Systems

  • Ensuring compliance with Factory Act, CEA, MPCB, and IMS standards
  • Managing calibration, statutory inspections, and documentation
  • Maintaining SOPs, TPM records, and audit documentation

Performance Monitoring

  • Tracking maintenance KPIs and ensuring continuous improvement
  • Preparing reports and conducting performance reviews

 

 

What do we expect from you? 

 

Qualification & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (full-time) (Diploma + Degree)
  • 12–15 years of experience in Plant Engineering / Maintenance
  • Exposure to SAP EAM, SPMs, Robotics, TPM, and utility systems

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies and reliability engineering
  • Expertise in RCA/RCFA and energy management
  • Experience in utilities (Electrical, DG, HVAC, Air, Water systems)
  • Project management and commissioning capability

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Data-driven and continuous improvement mindset

 

Additional Advantages

  • TPM/JIPM exposure and ISO audit experience

  • Supervisor License and CEA Electrical Safety Certification
