Job Description
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Division Sales and Applications Engineer. This is a Hybrid (2 days a week from home) role, based at our site in Fayetteville, NC. Relocation benefits are available from within the United States!
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.

What you’ll do:
Support sales force on Power Factor Correction and Power Conditioning project negotiations. Responsibility to include interpretation of project plans and specifications, product application, configuration of product, technical support, proposal preparation, lead time information, review of project terms and conditions and pricing authority managed to price bands as determined by manager.
Review customer needs and specifications in order to determine the minimum bill of material, most competitive price level, and shipment cycle within the market segment pertaining to each specific negotiation. Interpret incoming product line quotations for project desirability factor, proper product content, and list price. Recommend modifications to bill of material to meet customer specification and improve Eaton’s competitive position as needed.
Responsibilities also to include facilitation of order entry with EatonCare and Front-End personnel; order and price reconciliation and other customer requested functions as required to obtain profitable sales growth of Global Eaton’s PFC line.
Report new product requirements, track negotiations, report orders entered and lost, develop accurate monthly forecasts and report market trends in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
- Perform a wide variety of marketing and technical tasks, including solving customer problems with the use of technical and marketing publications and development specifications
- Performs product specification reviews, prepares commercial/technical quotations.
- Negotiate with Field Sales/customer to obtain highest price levels for service and product features offered. Value sell quality and product features to meet price and volume objectives.
- Provides pre and post sales support for PFC and PC products including installation and warranty issues.
- Provides technical explanations, demonstration and training of products to customers, field engineering, and marketing support functions both virtually and at in-person seminars.
- Without appreciable direction, must be able to manage time appropriately to meet the product line’s objectives and customers’ requirements.

Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited Institution
- 2+ years of experience in the electrical industry
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
Preferred:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Product and technical knowledge of PFC and Power Conditioning equipment applications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Dimensions:
- Productivity of division take off requests, pricing approval requests, and order reviews.
- Obtain and analyze competitive feedback on negotiations to formulate future strategies to grow volumes and market share.
- Reduction of cost of non-conformance due to interpretation of product specification, technical implementation of specification, take offs, or pricing errors.
