Summary:

Under general supervision, opens and closes the hotel coffee bar for guests following Company policies and procedures. Maintains the food prep and hotel coffee area in a clean, well-organized manner while serving and assists guests. Presents a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture with customers and fellow team members. Has general knowledge of the hotel, area, and events to answer questions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Has a +1 Service attitude and provides courteous, friendly guest service by anticipating guest’s needs and responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests and complaints. • Opens and closes hotel the coffee bar, manages a clean and safe working environment and maintains accurate cash balance and handles money in a secure manner according to Drury procedures. • Maintains serving areas by restocking as needed; cleans counters, floors and tables as needed; greets / interacts with guests by engaging in conversation. • Assists guests with menu and beverage selection, demonstrating salesmanship with complete menu and product knowledge. • Prepares all beverages and food orders to recipe company standards. • Follows all company policies regarding alcohol service and refuses to sell liquor from the Market to anyone who is underage/or who appears intoxicated. • Conducts routine inventory of all food, beverages and sundry items to maintain appropriate inventory levels. • Requires ability to operate machines and equipment used, including but not limited to, include cash register, dishwashers, speed batch ovens, coffee, and espresso machines (guest facing) and microwave, etc. • Appreciates the diversity of our team and guests and contributes to maintaining a positive work environment at all times. • Attends and participates in all required meetings and provide follow-up as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned.

General Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

Requires ability to communicate in English clearly (written and verbal). Requires ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per Company requirements.
