Job Summary
The Parts Repair Technician position is responsible for the evaluation, service, and repair of intermediate-level Cath/Angio, CT, and Ultrasound medical equipment and parts.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Performs tasks in a logical progression to properly test, diagnose, and evaluate parts for repair.
- Formulates a troubleshooting and repair action plan that efficiently and effectively carries out the repair of medical parts utilizing proper techniques, tools, error logs, and experience.
- Comprehensively understands how parts work, how they integrate with the system, and the value individual parts contribute to the overall system.
- Completes and maintains accurate documentation of repair processes as needed and accurately and timely enters and updates information in various parts tracking databases.
- Inspects fully repaired parts to ensure quality control and OEM specifications and guidelines are adhered to.
- Provides guidance and support to fellow Parts Repair Technicians on proper repair techniques.
- Complies with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per ISO:13485 2016 standards and the Company's Quality Management System.
- Diagnoses and repairs PC hardware issues including motherboards, CPUs, memory modules, hard drives, power supplies, and peripheral connections.
- Performs software-level troubleshooting on PC systems, including operating system errors, driver conflicts, and firmware updates to restore full functionality.
- Documents all PC repair activities, findings, and parts usage in the tracking database to maintain accurate service records and support quality control processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience/Training/Education
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1-3 years of troubleshooting/testing experience required
- 2 or 4-year degree in biomedical, electronics engineering, or other relevant course of study or equivalent experience preferred
- 1+ years of PC repair experience, including hardware diagnostics, component replacement, and software troubleshooting required
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential
- Must be able to read, write, and interpret/comprehend documents and instructions
- Ability to follow instruction and receive and apply constructive feedback
- Basic math skills required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software a plus
- Hands-on PC repair experience required, including diagnosis and replacement of motherboards, RAM, hard drives, power supplies, and other components; familiarity with Windows OS troubleshooting a plus
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects/tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills required
- Ability to resolve problems quickly involving several variables with limited supervision
- Ability to work with others in a team environment to complete projects
