Position Summary
Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing company equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and completes repairs on a wide range of production and facility equipment, including extruders, injection molders, grinders, gearboxes, air compressors, and motors. The Maintenance Technician is expected to demonstrate strong safety awareness and uphold company values in all work performed. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with various systems, and a commitment to safety and improvement.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, day shift, overtime as required.
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on all extruders, injection molders, grinders, gearboxes, air compressors, and motors.
Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems
Maintain and service plant support equipment, including cooling towers, air compressors, and chillers
Inspect and maintain water system piping and valves to ensure proper function and prevent leaks or failures
Perform small to medium fabrication of various equipment.
Operate torching and welding equipment as needed for repairs and fabrication
Maintain, monitor, and manage spare parts inventory required for facility operations
Order parts, enter purchase requests into database, and follow up on order status
Maintain accurate records of daily and weekly work, including tracking labor hours in company systems
Ensure all work is completed in strict compliance with company safety policies and procedures
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Experience with preventative maintenance schedules and equipment servicing
Knowledge of welding and torching helpful, but not necessary
Experience with facility support systems, such as cooling towers, air compressors, chillers, and water piping/valves, a plus
Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
Related experience and knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in repairing production and facility equipment
Ability to work in shop and field environments
Capable of lifting heavy components and working in physically demanding conditions
Comfortable working in varying weather and job site conditions
Ability to use computers for time tracking, parts ordering, and maintenance records
Strong communication skills, effective communicator
Proven ability to work alone or in a team setting
Attention to accuracy and detail
Demonstrated safety consciousness
