POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Vice President of Inventory Planning reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer

Position Summary
The Regional Vice President of Inventory Planning is responsible for leading inventory strategy, inventory optimization, replenishment planning, and service-level performance across TriMark's Corporate Accounts Region. This executive leader will oversee inventory investments exceeding hundreds of millions of dollars while ensuring the right products are available at the right place and time to support customer demand, maximize inventory turns, and improve working capital performance.
The Regional Vice President will partner closely with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Category Management, Demand Planning, Distribution, Finance, and Executive Leadership to drive inventory excellence across foodservice equipment, supplies, tabletop, smallwares, warewashing, janitorial, and replacement parts categories.
This role will be based in Lewisville, Texas and will support regional distribution centers, division locations, and customer fulfillment operations throughout the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Strategy & Optimization
Develop and execute regional inventory planning strategies aligned with corporate supply chain objectives.
Optimize inventory investments while maintaining target service levels and customer fill rates.
Lead safety stock, cycle stock, reorder point, and replenishment methodologies across multiple distribution centers.
Establish inventory segmentation strategies based on demand variability, margin, lead time, and customer importance.
Drive initiatives to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
Inventory Planning Leadership
Lead teams responsible for:

Inventory Analytics
Inventory Control
Master Data Governance
Develop scalable inventory planning processes supporting future acquisitions and business growth.
Build regional planning capabilities utilizing forecasting and inventory optimization tools.
S&OP and Demand Alignment
Partner with Demand Planning leaders to align inventory strategies with forecasted customer demand.
Participate in monthly S&OP and executive business review processes.
Evaluate demand trends and adjust inventory positioning to support seasonal and project-based business fluctuations.
Collaborate with National Accounts and Territory Sales teams to support major customer initiatives and equipment projects.
Supplier & Procurement Collaboration
Partner with Category Management and Procurement teams to improve supplier performance.
Monitor supplier lead times and inventory risk exposure.
Develop inventory mitigation strategies for supply disruptions and market volatility.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives through inventory planning analysis.
Financial Stewardship
Manage inventory investment and working capital performance across the region.
Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Identify opportunities to improve cash flow through inventory optimization.
Partner with Finance to monitor inventory reserves and inventory valuation.
Operational Excellence
Establish KPI dashboards and executive reporting for inventory performance.
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Drive standardization across regional inventory planning processes.
Lead inventory-related system enhancements and process automation initiatives.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as a strategic partner to:

Influence enterprise-wide inventory decisions through data-driven recommendations.
Lead inventory planning integration efforts related to acquisitions and business expansion.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of progressive inventory planning, supply chain planning, or inventory management experience.
5+ years leading multi-site inventory planning organizations.
Experience managing inventory investments exceeding $100M.
Strong background in distribution, wholesale, industrial, foodservice, hospitality, equipment, or related industries.
Advanced knowledge of:
Inventory Optimization
Replenishment Planning
Supply Chain Analytics
S&OP
Forecasting Methodologies
Experience leading large cross-functional initiatives.
Advanced Excel, Power BI, and ERP system expertise.
Preferred
Experience within foodservice equipment, commercial kitchen equipment, hospitality supply, industrial distribution, or wholesale distribution industries.
Experience with Infor M3, Inform WMS, JD Edwards, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
MBA preferred.
