Buyer

The Direct Materials Buyer role, located on site in Watertown, SD will be responsible for executing the purchase and planning of materials to support the customers.  The role will work with multiple vendors and internal teams to deliver high quality products on time for customer orders.    What You'll Do Material Resource Planning Enter Purchase Orders (PO’s) daily to Watertown’s key vendors Ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods Source and procure components and raw materials for key vendors if expedites are required Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers Measure and implement corrective actions with vendors, ensuring high levels of Quality and On-time Delivery   Recommended skills Microsoft Office (Excel/Powerpoint) Negotiations Critical thinking and Problem Solving Strategic Vendor selection Organization to juggle multiple projects simultaneously   What We Value Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
