Job Description – Senior Urban Planner

Location: Gandhinagar, Gujarat
Experience: 15+ Years

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale master planning, urban development, and regional planning projects.
• Develop strategic planning frameworks, land use plans, and urban growth strategies.
• Oversee preparation of DPRs, feasibility studies, planning reports, and statutory submissions.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising urban planners, urban designers, architects, and infrastructure specialists.
• Engage with government authorities, development agencies, and key stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Provide technical guidance on planning regulations, development control norms, and policy frameworks.
• Drive project delivery, quality assurance, resource planning, and client management.
• Support business development activities, proposal preparation, and project presentations.
• Mentor junior and mid-level planners and contribute to capability development within the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in urban planning / Town Planning or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in urban planning, master planning, regional planning, and infrastructure development projects.
• Proven experience managing large-scale government, smart city, township, industrial, or urban redevelopment projects.
• Strong understanding of Indian planning regulations, development control regulations (DCR), and statutory approval processes.
• Proficiency in GIS, planning software, data analysis, and report preparation.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in planning and implementation of waterfront, riverfront, tourism, heritage, and urban regeneration projects.
• Exposure to projects involving government agencies, development authorities, and public-sector clients.
• Experience in project management, team leadership, and client relationship management.
• Knowledge of sustainable urban development, mobility planning, and infrastructure integration.
