Barista

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

· Prepares and serves coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other café offerings as per Holt Renfrew standards.

· Ensures all beverages are prepared consistently, accurately, and presented beautifully.

· Maintains cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and service areas at all times.

· Operates espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.

· Restocks coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other supplies as required.

· Greets clients warmly and provides exceptional, personalized service.

· Assists guests with menu selections and product knowledge, including coffee origins and beverage recommendations.

· Processes orders and payments accurately using the POS system.

· Monitors product quality and freshness throughout service.

· Assists team members in maintaining smooth café operations during busy periods.

· Follows food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.

· Supports opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and equipment maintenance.

The ideal candidate:

· High School Diploma

· 2–3 years previous experience in a similar café or barista role

· Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso-based beverages

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche :

$17.60 - $25.25 / 17,60$ - 25,25$ (per hour / de l’heure)

Final compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate's unique skills, expertise, individual qualifications, and assessed contributions to the role following the completion of the interview process.
