Performs moderately complex to complex accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. Responsible for the day-to-day management of general ledger processes, maintaining accurate and reconciled accounts, and ensuring precise financial reporting at both the cost center and business unit levels.
Reconciles complex accounts and verifies the accuracy of journal entries to ensure the general ledger aligns with accounting principles and reporting schedules, providing a complete and accurate view of the organization’s financial position. Reviews and analyzes financial information and prepares reports and accounting statements to support senior management with timely and accurate data for decision-making. Reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation schedules, cash flow statements, debtor and creditor listings, repayment schedules, and regulatory filings.
Serves as the primary point of focus for financial statements, audit workpapers, reporting, financial inquiries, and analytical reviews of operations. Acts as the key contact for business units, collaborating with the Chief Financial Officer, senior leadership, and department leaders. Provides technical accounting guidance to functional and operational managers to support budget development, enhance understanding of financial reports, and promote effective financial management.
May serve as a primary contributor to financial, clinical, and operational leadership within business units, offering consultative support for decision-making related to cost centers, programs, service lines, business plans, and payors. Additionally, may function as a subject matter expert (SME) when assigned to projects or strategic initiatives, serving as a critical resource for financial and operational management, product line committees, and operational improvement efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 4 years of relevant experience.
