Job Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs to machinery and plant support systems with regards to hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical problems
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) schedules (as required) on machinery and Plant Support equipment
- Suggest preventative measures to minimize or eliminate breakdowns
- Maintain correct safety standards at all times
- Complete all check sheets and records as it relates to the P.M. program, Work Orders, etc
- Member of the Emergency Response Team
- Capable of instructing maintenance personnel in trade related tasks and skills
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical problems with equipment
- Modify machinery and equipment and overhaul machines as directed
- Install, set up, and commission new equipment
- Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customers
Qualifications:
- Completion of specialized trade courses and/or apprenticeship/certification
- Clear communication written and verbal skills.
- Minimum Certified Tradesman (Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright)
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency preferred
- Minimum 5 years directly related trade experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Stamping environment
- Must have an exceptional Safety Record
- Familiar with the Safe Handling and Storage of compressed gases
- Skilled in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Mechanics
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Must be committed to work overtime during weekdays and weekends
- Must be able to work independently without supervision
