Solid Rocket Motors Engineering, Principal
• Bachelor's or higher degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.<br>• 15+yrs of experience in rocket motor design, propulsion systems, or aerospace engineering is typically required.<br>• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for rocket motor modeling.<br>• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and structural mechanics.<br>• Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools such as finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).<br>• Familiarity with industry-SRM specific software and tools.<br>• A deep understanding of solid rocket motor principles, including propellant chemistry, nozzle design, ignition systems, and thrust optimization.<br>• Ability to analyze complex engineering challenges, propose solutions, and make informed design decisions.<br>• Effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with cross-functional teams, presenting design concepts, and documenting work.<br>• Insensitive Munitions Awareness: An understanding of insensitive munitions protocols and practices in the design of rocket motors, given the potential hazards involved.<br>• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance<br>• Willingness to relocate to a future domestic location that may include one of the following: Orlando, Troy, Huntsville, or other designated location<br>• Must be willing to travel domestically up to 50%Posted 4 weeks ago
