Job Description

Summary

Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC), wiring, panels, breakers, transformers, switches, and receptacles.
  • Perform terminations, grounding, bonding, and labeling per code requirements.
  • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools to ensure proper operation and safety.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective repairs.
  • Perform all work in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.

 

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma and completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience, and minimum of 3–5 years of electrical experience; strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation practices; ability to read and understand electrical blueprints and schematics.

Computer Skills

Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to climb ladders, operate lifts, and work at heights; Ability to work overhead, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods; ability to work in varying environmental conditions;  ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
