What is the opportunity?
As an Associate, Operations - Quality Control, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of client onboarding, account maintenance, and servicing processes within Wealth Management Canada Operations. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in identifying and addressing operational gaps, managing risk, and recommending process improvements. You will develop and apply an in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (KYC/AML/QI/FATCA/CRS) to review, verify, and validate client documentation and data. This will involve conducting thorough reviews of client information, identifying potential discrepancies or areas of non-compliance, and taking corrective action to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including operational teams and business partners, to stay informed about changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and to implement process enhancements that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
What will you do?
- Perform daily quality control oversight activities to validate client account and documentation process outcomes and resolve any discrepancies.
- Conduct regular quality control reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and business partners to identify and prioritize process improvements, providing recommendations and supporting the implementation and testing of changes to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of operations.
- Maintain department documentation, ensuring procedures, policies, and guidelines are up-to-date and accurate.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 4-year degree from an accredited university
- 1+ years of operations, securities, Wealth Management industry experience
- 1+ years of experience working with large data sets and complex processes
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
- Strong presentation skills and ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project
- Strong attention to detail and risk management mindset
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to propose innovative solutions
Nice-to-have
- Prior experience/knowledge of KYC/AML/QI/FATCA/CRS documentation processing, policies and regulatory rules, and other regulatory requirements (CIRO, OSFI, IRS, etc.)
- Reporting and tracking capabilities using tools such as MS Excel (advanced formulas/pivot tables/macros), Power BI, Access
