JOB PURPOSE
MSC Cruises is recruiting for IT Hybrid Cloud Senior Analyst.
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of secure, scalable, and resilient hybrid cloud and data center platforms, supporting MSC Cruises’ global IT strategy, digital transformation, service reliability, and operational excellence.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Design and lead implementation of cloud architectures aligned with MSC Cruises standards, security, and governance frameworks
• Manage and optimize enterprise cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) ensuring high availability, performance, and cost control
• Drive migration activities from on-premises to cloud, including complex and business-critical systems
• Define and enforce infrastructure-as-code, automation, and DevOps best practices
• Monitor cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring proactive risk management, incident resolution, and service continuity
• Design and govern backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies and solutions across cloud and hybrid platforms.
• Act as senior technical reference for cloud topics, supporting cross-team initiatives (infrastructure, workplace, applications)
• Identify and lead initiatives for optimization, standardization, and innovation across cloud services
QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)
• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, hybrid infrastructure, or platform operations roles
• Proven experience in complex enterprise and hybrid environments (multisite/global; travel or service industry is a plus)
• Fluency in English required; additional languages considered an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and services (compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring), hybrid identity (Active Directory / Azure AD), security, along with solid experience in Microsoft and Linux on-premises environments (Windows Server, DNS, Red Hat).
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise application delivery, security, and API management architectures using Azure Front Door, Azure Application Gateway, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Azure API Management.
• Extensive experience with cloud-native platforms and enterprise Kubernetes environments, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, service mesh, ingress controllers, container security, secrets management, and multi-cluster governance
• Strong experience in hybrid cloud and enterprise data center environments, with solid knowledge of compute, storage, virtualization, backup, connectivity, monitoring, capacity management, and operational resilience.
• Good knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies and related infrastructure components.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; cloud certifications (Azure)
• Strong leadership and ownership mindset with ability to drive transformation initiatives
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on risk reduction and operational resilience
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across global teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues
• Continuous improvement mindset with focus on automation, governance, and cloud adoption
VISA REQUIREMENTS

WHAT WE OFFER
In compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.
Contract
- Type of contract: Permanent
- Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely
- Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): “Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato” – sez. personale di terra
- Gross annual salary (RAL): between €45.000 – €52.000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
- Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on-site working day
The offer in terms of salary will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
