BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Facilities Technician at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.
Key Accountabilities
Carry out repairs and maintenance on building equipment such as, but not limited to, air compressor system, HVAC systems, boilers and domestic hot water (DHW) systems, Water cooling, etc.
Carry out periodic maintenance checks at the Transformer Substation and electrical installation for the correct operation and supply of electrical energy.
Carry out preventive maintenance of the Detection and Fire Fighting system.
Perform routine actions, gathering, compiling and interpreting data and preparing the Facilities Supervisor's decision support recommendations and reports.
Establish contact with suppliers and contracted companies, ensuring the service and compliance with safety rules, environment and company procedures.
Implement and conduct preventive maintenance work.
Record all interventions in the Maintenance Management System (SGM)
Register new equipment in the SGM
Document all procedures explicitly and unequivocally, using images, if possible, so that others can better continue during vacation periods and other absences.
Comply with safety, quality, productivity, hygiene and environmental prevention standards.
Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and working period
Respect the workplace safety and cleanliness rules
Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the environmental management system
Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period of time necessary for the aforementioned service needs or conveniences
Education & Experience
High School in a related technical area
+ 3 years of experience in a related area (Maintenance of Buildings and Facilities) (preferential)
Knowledge of metalwork and operation of maintenance machines (lathe, drill, etc.) (valued)
TIM II or TIM III certification for HVAC and energy management (valued)
Good knowledge of English (preferred)
User-level computing (Excel knowledge)
Knowledge of Pneumatics
Knowledge of electrical network repair and documentation of improvements
Fluent in Portuguese
