As we continue to grow globally and invest in the future of our world leading security technology, we’re launching our new Software Engineering Graduate Programme, designed to develop the next generation of engineering talent at Gallagher.
Headquartered in Hamilton, New Zealand, Gallagher is a global technology company with more than 1,700 team members worldwide and customers in over 160 countries. Our cyber secure solutions for access control, perimeter security, and intruder detection help protect some of the world’s most sensitive environments, including government, defence, and critical infrastructure.
We’re looking for up to 10 graduates to join us in February 2027 on a permanent basis, becoming part of a collaborative engineering community building technology used around the world from day one.
Based at Innovation Park in Hamilton, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, product teams, and technical leaders while contributing to real world products and platforms from the start.
About the Graduate Programme
Our two-year Software Engineering Graduate Programme is designed to accelerate your development through hands-on experience, exposure to different engineering environments, and support from experienced mentors and leaders.
From day one, you’ll be a permanent junior employee and an active contributor within our Product & Technology teams.
Throughout the programme, you’ll rotate across different teams and projects, giving you the opportunity to:
Build experience across multiple areas of software engineering
Work with different technologies, products, and engineering practices
Learn from experienced technical specialists and leaders
Develop a strong understanding of how large-scale technology products are designed, built, and supported
Explore where your strengths and interests align for your long-term career
In February 2027 you’ll join alongside a cohort of fellow graduates, creating a shared learning experience as you begin your engineering career together.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for upcoming graduates who are excited by technology, motivated to learn, and ready to contribute in a fast-moving engineering environment.
You might be a great fit if you are:
Currently studying and graduating in 2026 with a Bachelor of Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
Achieving strong academic results (B+ average or above preferred)
Curious and enthusiastic about technology
An agile learner who enjoys solving problems
Resilient and adaptable when tackling challenges
A digitally native thinker who enjoys exploring new tools and technologies
Someone who enjoys collaborating, learning, and contributing as part of a team
You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for potential, mindset, and people who are excited to grow.
