Role: Cyber Security Associate (UAE Nationals Only)
Location: Abu Dhabi
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of IS Programs and Projects. The Cyber Security Associate is responsible for supporting the governance and execution of information security programs and projects across ADIB. He/she manages procurement activities, maintains project documentation, and coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with governance frameworks, regulatory standards, and internal policies. The associate contributes to the successful delivery of information security projects by managing procurement processes, maintaining project documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and monitoring project performance. Through active engagement with cross-functional teams, the role ensures that risks are identified and mitigated, project timelines are met, and quality standards are upheld. This role contributes to enhancing the transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness of ADIB’s information security efforts while supporting strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
Key accountabilities of the role:
Responsible for creating purchase requisitions in the system and following up with VMCP to ensure timely approval.
Responsible for collecting completion certificates to ensure goods/services receipt is recorded in the system with all supporting documents.
Supporting the administration of project financial reporting and reviewing the department budget and expenditures.
Maintaining project documentation including project charters, schedules, risks logs and approvals for changes
Conducting periodic reviews of projects to ensure they adhere to established governance policies and procedures.
Raising concerns to the head of IS programs and Projects where governance risks or issues are identified.
Coordinate with programs and projects owners across ADIB to gather information and update project status.
- Consolidate reports on programs and projects quality, schedule and cost to GISD management.
- Coordinate with several stakeholders involved in information security related programs and projects to identify issues, gaps, and improvement areas and suggest them to the Information Security Projects Manager for approval.
Specialist skills / technical knowledge required for this role:
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
Knowledge of information security processes and technologies
Extensive knowledge of the program and project lifecycle, project delivery methodologies, standards, and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, or any related technical discipline
Knowledge of ISO 27001, NESA, PCI DSS, SWIFT and other information security standards and regulations
