Job Description
Overview WELCOME TO SITA At SITA, we keep airports moving, airlines flying smoothly, and borders open. Our technology and communication innovations power the success of the global air travel industry. You'll find us in 95% of international airports, working closely with over 2,500 transportation and government clients. Each partnership brings unique challenges, and we thrive on delivering fresh solutions and cutting-edge tech to keep operations running like clockwork. We don't just move the world forward-we're proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work® by 79% of our employees and certified in most of our growing locations. Here, we feel empowered, supported, and inspired to grow. Are you ready to love your job? The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA. PURPOSE As an executive-level Project Manager, you will lead and deliver complex cross-functional projects that advance our most important strategic initiatives. You will own these projects end to end — from the moment leadership commits to an initiative through to delivery and value realisation — spanning technology and tools adoption, process change, and integration across organisational boundaries. Operating with extensive executive and senior-leadership exposure, you will partner with leadership team members, sponsors, and project teams to plan, govern, and deliver against the organisation’s strategic objectives. You will set direction, drive pace and accountability across functions, manage risk and budget, and keep executives and stakeholders clearly informed through disciplined, decision-ready status reporting. You will bring a working understanding of organisational change to your delivery - anticipating impacts, adoption risks, and resistance, and building these considerations into your plans so that change holds. Deep change-management specialisation is welcome but not essential: the priority is a strong project manager who applies change principles in service of delivery, not a change specialist asked to run projects. Your early involvement is decisive. From the point of decision, you will shape the project charter, define the implementation strategy, and establish the action plan, governance, and decision-making framework that set the initiative up to succeed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and Deliver Cross-Functional Projects Initiate and drive delivery: Take the lead from initiation through to value realisation, holding cross-functional teams accountable to scope, pace, and outcomes aligned to strategic goals. Plan and execute: Build and run robust project plans — timelines, resources, dependencies, and milestones — and adapt them as conditions change. Implement and embed: Ensure new processes, procedures, and structures are implemented cleanly and deliver the expected value. Own budget and financials: Oversee project financial planning, budgeting, and spend against plan. Guide the team: Provide direction and support to stakeholders and contributors throughout the project lifecycle. Engage Executives and Communicate with Impact Brief and influence leadership: Communicate confidently in front of executives and senior management, translating complexity into clear, decision-ready messages. Produce executive-grade materials: Create concise, compelling status updates, briefings, and reporting tailored to a leadership audience. Foster transparency: Promote open, candid communication and keep stakeholders aligned across functions and geographies. Facilitate alignment: Run workshops, working sessions, and presentations that drive productive discussion and cross-functional collaboration. Shape Strategy and Secure Approval Partner with senior leadership: Work closely with senior leaders to identify and align on objectives and the outcomes each initiative must deliver. Develop the approach: Formulate detailed delivery strategies and implementation plans that make execution achievable. Build the case and secure sign-off: Develop the business case and secure approval for the plan from relevant stakeholders and sponsors. Build Organisational Change into Delivery Assess readiness and impact: Evaluate organisational readiness and the impact of proposed changes to inform planning. Anticipate resistance: Identify risks and resistance to change and build practical mitigations into the delivery plan. Support adoption: Apply change-management principles to drive adoption and sustainability of the changes delivered. Govern, Monitor, and Realise Value Define success metrics: Establish the metrics and measurement criteria that evidence whether the initiative delivered. Gather feedback: Collect feedback from stakeholders and teams to assess impact and surface improvements. Capture lessons learned: Consolidate lessons learned and decision-making materials to strengthen future delivery. Qualifications EXPERIENCE Proven delivery track record: Minimum of 6 years managing multiple projects and programmes of varying size, complexity, budget, and deliverables — preferably with a technical or IT background, and ideally within the aviation sector. Exceptional executive communicator: Proven ability to present to and influence executives and senior management, with the credibility to collaborate across diverse, globally dispersed teams and align stakeholders behind a plan. Strong project management craft: Skilled in task prioritisation, timeline management, governance, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment — working effectively both independently and collaboratively. A bridge-builder: Fosters seamless interaction across teams, aligning goals and processes; an engaged listener who understands and addresses concerns, and a proactive, resolution-oriented problem solver. Working knowledge of organisational change: Familiar with change-management principles, methodologies, and best practices, and able to apply them in support of delivery. Deep change-management specialisation is a plus, not a requirement. Analytical and articulate: An analytical mindset to assess complex situations and shape the right approach, with exceptional facilitation and presentation skills. People-oriented leadership: Integrates people and talent through empathetic, credible leadership. Qualifications: University degree or equivalent. Formal project-management training and certification — PMP or PRINCE2 certified (or working toward). WHAT WE OFFER We're all about diversity.
