Job Description
The Applications Coordinator serves as the operational lead and day‑to‑day manager of the Arkansas Data Hub, the State’s enterprise data‑fabric platform supporting secure, standardized, and privacy‑preserving data sharing across executive branch agencies. This role oversees the delivery, reliability, and ongoing operation of all Data Hub services, coordinating implementations in alignment with statewide data policies, standards, and governance.
Daily responsibilities include managing data‑sharing workflows; overseeing integrations, ETL/ELT processes, event‑streaming pipelines, data virtualization layers, and metadata/catalog‑management activities; and supporting departments as they onboard and adopt Data Hub capabilities. The Coordinator also leads the troubleshooting of data-sharing workflows and platform processes, identifying root causes and coordinating resolution across department, vendor, and technical teams. The Applications Coordinator functions as a solution architect for data‑sharing business needs, translating agency requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions within the Data Hub ecosystem.
The position also develops and maintains standard operating procedures, documentation, and training resources; leads customer onboarding; and serves as the primary point of contact for vendors providing Data Hub infrastructure, services, and platform support.
Preferred qualifications, specific skills, and/or professional background
- Experience with enterprise data platforms, data‑fabric environments, or large‑scale data‑sharing solutions.
- Experience with API‑based integrations, ETL/ELT workflows, event streaming, data virtualization, or metadata/catalog management.
- Experience with IBM CloudPak for Data, or other IBM Cloudpak software.
- Strong aptitude and drive to learn complex systems quickly, including the ability to interpret technical documentation and become a subject‑matter expert.
- Experience creating SOPs, documentation, and training resources.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly translate technical concepts for business audiences and business requirements for technical teams.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in application support, project coordination, or a related information technology role.
Certifications in project management or specific applications (e.g., Project Management Professional, Information Technology Infrastructure Library, or vendor certifications) may be required.
Proven experience in managing software application projects or deployments.
Familiarity with enterprise systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or Customer Relationship Management platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
Hands-on experience with application troubleshooting and system integration.
Knowledge of best practices in software deployment and user training.
