Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform refurbishing, repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment installation at customer facilities and in-house.
- Provide technical support to customers, both onsite and remotely as needed.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement corrective action.
- Assist in processing repair and service quotes and orders.
- Conduct follow-up with customers regarding service quotes and repairs.
- Support the Repair & Service Manager and administrative team as needed.
- Comply with all policies outlined in the Advanced Machine & Engineering or Hennig, Inc. Quality Manual, Procedures, and Work Instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements (Critical Component of Role)
- Approximately 80% travel required nationwide.
- Initial training will take place at the home base facility for 2–4 months before independent travel assignments.
- 20% road service incentive provided for overnight travel assignments.
- Flexibility to travel on short notice when required.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Sheet metal experience is helpful.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience strongly preferred.
Skills
- Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability preferred.
- Ability to read measuring instruments and apply basic mathematical skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for customer interaction.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, and push/pull as required.
- Visual acuity sufficient to read measuring instruments (with accommodation if required).
- Ability to monitor equipment sounds to identify mechanical changes.
- Exposure to moving parts, industrial equipment, elevated noise levels, oils, cutting fluids, fumes, dust, and mist.
