Goal

The Supervisor Financial Accounting & Reporting is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and internal reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. The role ensures adherence to internal controls, supports audit processes, and leads a team responsible for financial reporting and year-end/quarter-end/month-end close activities. By overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and reporting deliverables, the Supervisor contributes to financial transparency, risk mitigation, and informed business decision-making.

Functional Specific Responsibilities

 

  • Process with direct reports and proactively support the development needs of
  • the area of responsibility
  • Manage the selection, development and engagement of employees within
  • assigned area of responsibility, whilst ensuring that the members fit into and
  • will contribute to a high performing team able to deliver high performance and
  • meet all challenges.
  • Ensure Aramco Europe complies with governing policies and legislation of the
  • areas of operation.
  • Maintaining cost centre and WBS structure for full organization and conduct
  • cost corrections.
  • Review trial balances and general ledger accounts for accuracy and
  • Completeness
  • Ensure financial statements comply with IFRS, US GAAP, or applicable local
  • standards
  • Support consolidation and reporting of financials to Aramco Group
  • Lead preparation management reports and financial packages for review by
  • senior leadership for Aramco Europe and its subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Monitor accounting transactions to ensure alignment with internal policies and
  • Procedures
  • Leads the implementation of updates to accounting standards and policies
  • Identify and address control deficiencies, escalating risks where necessary
  • Ensure financial reporting processes maintain audit trails, segregation of duties,
  • and compliance with internal control frameworks
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation for compliance reviews
  • Coordinate the collection and submission of audit schedules and working papers
  • Respond to internal and external audit inquiries with supporting documentation
  • Track and implement audit recommendations and remediation plans
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and regulatory filing requirements
  • Participate in Finance and organization related projects as a subject matter expert

 

Functional Specific Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10+ years' of finance experience of which at least 5 years in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical application of IFRS.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams within complex, deadline-driven environments.
  • Experience working within large commercial and industrial organisations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, financial controls, and process improvement expertise.

Highly Desirable

  • Previous experience within a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Combination of public practice and industry/commercial experience.
  • Experience leading accounting and reporting functions in organisations with demanding reporting cycles and tight deadlines.
