Environmental Managing Consultant

We are currently seeking an Environmental Managing Consultant to join our Iberia team in Madrid or Barcelona, playing a key role in delivering high-impact projects across sectors and geographies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management of complex projects – local and international
  • Develop and manage Environmental & Social Impact Assessment studies/projects;
  • Manage relationship with authorities, Clients and Contractors;
  • Manage environmental and/or social critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable regulation with major emphasis on: IPPC Decree, EIA decrees, Permitting;
  • Define, coordinate and implement Environmental monitoring plan;
  • Identify and develop new project opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals and cost estimates, and maintain client relationships;
  • Ability and flexibility to work across a range of services and sectors including: oil & gas, power (including renewables) and manufacturing;
  • Provide compliance assurance of impact assessment studies with applicable local legal and institutional requirements (IFC, EBRD,etc.) and international experience in project finance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A master’s degree in environmental engineering (i.e. Ecology) or Environmental Sciences or similar
  • Extended years of experience as Environmental Consultant in a Consultancy Firm
  • Previous experience as Project Manager
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, written and spoken. Working knowledge of French is highly valued, particularly for new projects in Francophone countries.
  • Familiarity with EHS National Environmental regulation and International Standard (IFC, EBRD, etc.)
  • Proven experience in liaising with Authority/Decision Makers and Stakeholders.
