WORK MODEL
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manages the HTSS (Hyundai Technical Support System) Knowledgebase (KB) System & Content.
- Manages & leads the HTSS content creation team & Techline Technical Writer(s).
- Oversees and maintains technical content for HTSS (Hyundai Technical Support System) Knowledgebase (KB).
- Oversees internal, external and specialized fix-prints, and iWorksheet based Technotes (TN’s).
- Interfaces with SME’s & other technical experts in key HMA departments to define and create content.
- Oversees and helps support with key cutting machine and other special service tool providers to create related content.
- Supports special service tool providers by providing feedback on HMA needs.
- Supports Techline and other departments to assure necessary content is provided for the HTSS KB.
- Identifies and helps confirm related diagnostic process, training and SST improvement opportunities.
- Supports Techline and HTSS in QSE’s Monthly Quality Report (MQR) meetings.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Manage HTSS content creation team and Techline Technical Writers to ensure high-quality technical documentation.
- Lead definition and requirements for HTSS system enhancements (minor and major) and oversee development with IT, GITA, HAEA, and HMA DBP.
- Direct HTSS system integration and ensure seamless functionality across platforms.
- Select and publish high-value articles in TechNet Times (TNT) and Genesis Tech Talk (GTT) with accurate, meaningful content.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve HTSS technical content to enhance technician and Techline efficiency.
- Analyze diagnostic processes to identify improvement opportunities and reduce unnecessary Techline contact.
- Identify priority content using reporting tools and data-driven insights.
- Participate in technical meetings representing HTSS and provide subject matter expertise.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends across models, symptoms, and DTCs.
- Collaborate with PA, QSE, FSE, and Safety teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of published information.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Hyundai and Genesis vehicles (current and past 10+ years).
- Update and present MQR content in monthly meetings.
- Define workflow logic, keyword tagging standards, and content architecture for HTSS materials.
- Lead publication, updates, and tagging of HTSS content (DTCs, symptoms, etc.).
- Serve as technical SME for engineering, HMC, and cross-functional teams.
- Communicate with SST vendors to provide feedback and align on tool requirements.
- Support special projects and additional departmental responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Six or more years of experience in automotive repair & diagnosis.
- Three or more years of direct supervision of employees or contractors.
- Experience in Techline OEM – preferably in Hyundai and/or Genesis role.
- Familiarization/Experience working with special service tool providers – preferably w/Hyundai and/or Genesis a plus.
- Experience with Hyundai HTSS and/or Genesis GTSS Systems (or comparable Technical support system (knowledgebase).
- Strong familiarization with GDSM diagnostic tool
- Expert level technical knowledge related to Hyundai and/or Genesis vehicles, systems, diagnostic tools and processes.
- Computer Graphics (esp. 3D) and Adobe PDF document creation experience a plus.
- Expert level automotive repair skills with strong diagnostic abilities.
- Logic oriented with strong technical communications skills both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- PC software skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
- Computer Graphics (esp. 3D) utilizing CorelDraw, photoshop, illustrator and acrobat PDF document creation experience a plus.
- Strong data analysis and visualization comprehension, creation capabilities a plus.
- ASE Certifications a plus.
- Hyundai Technician Certifications a plus.

- Compensation Range: $91,000.00 - $130,000.00 annual base salary
