Central Region Construction is looking for an experienced individual to drive, improve and maintain infrastructure for the Virginia Department of Transportation. As a Construction Technician you will assist management and construction inspection staff by monitoring, coordinating and directing the administrative duties of roadway, structure, bridge construction and maintenance projects. You will ensure contractor conformance with plans, specifications, and contract documents to include daily inspection diaries, the input of data into automated software systems, and generating reports and correspondence. Selected candidate will maintain cost records on maintenance and construction work; perform data entry to maintain ledgers for interstate, primary and secondary system accounts; monitor budget and reporting; and review/process invoices and maintain budget records.
