Job Description

Overview

Microsoft is looking for a strategic and analytical leader to join the Xbox Supply Chain team within the Microsoft Devices Operations (MDO) organization.  Our team is responsible for driving end-to-end supply chain strategies and performance to enable the business to meet its objectives for Xbox physical products.

Senior Games Software Supply Strategist will lead development and oversee execution of global supply positioning strategies across all stages of the product lifecycle, ensuring that inventory is positioned to deliver working capital, cost, and service goals.  You will be working closely with Games Studios, Product Marketing, Finance, and various functions within Supply Chain to establish and manage the supply plan of record.  Each day will bring new challenges, and you will be continually looking for ways to drive business profitability by planning and executing a predictable, reliable, and low-cost supply chain.

The Games Supply Strategist balances demand volatility inherent in entertainment media with cost-efficient production and distribution, ensuring titles are available at retail for launch windows while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence risk. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where decisions directly affect title launch success, working capital, and player experience across millions of units annually

The ideal candidate must possess exceptional analytical capabilities, deep supply chain knowledge, and a proven track record of improving business performance by driving cross-functional alignment and influencing diverse stakeholders.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with logistics, finance, and channel teams to optimize supply/order execution and cost-to-serve.

  • Manage S&OP cycles with games-specific supply inputs, risks, and capacity constraints.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase agility as the physical media portfolio evolves.
