LCA & Environmental Data Manager
Job Description
Are you passionate about transforming sustainability data into real business impact? ASSA ABLOY is looking for an LCA & Environmental Data Manager to help shape how environmental insight drives product decisions, supports regulatory compliance, and enables a more sustainable future across a global organisation.
Reporting to the VP & Head of Product Sustainability, you will play a central role in strengthening our product sustainability capabilities. Working at the intersection of sustainability, product development, and data, you will help ensure that environmental data is accurate, scalable, and actionable supporting everything from Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to our Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) ambitions.
This is a unique opportunity to join a high-visibility function where sustainability is moving rapidly from ambition to execution. In this role, you will contribute to building the data, tools, and processes that will enable ASSA ABLOY to meet future regulatory requirements and remain competitive in an increasingly transparent and data-driven market.
Based in Stockholm, you will work closely with divisional sustainability teams, product stakeholders, and external partners in a collaborative and evolving environment where influence, expertise, and hands-on contribution are key.
What you will do as our LCA & Environmental Data Manager
As a LCA & Environmental Data Manager, you will take a hands-on yet high-impact role in developing, improving, and scaling how we work with environmental data across our product portfolio. You will enable divisions to efficiently produce EPDs while driving the harmonisation, quality, and strategic use of environmental datasets across the organisation. You will drive the development and continuous improvement of processes and methods for LCA and EPD delivery, enabling more efficient and scalable ways of working across divisions.
You will also:
- Configure and align models in iPoint, or similar LCA tools, ensuring that data structures and methodologies support both current EPD needs and upcoming regulatory requirements.
- Build environmental datasets that support divisional needs and broader business priorities, increasing data granularity, accuracy, and usability.
- Lead the harmonisation of environmental datasets across internal tools and systems, improving consistency, transparency, and decision-making across the organisation.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for tool suppliers, consultancy partners, and internal stakeholders, supporting divisions in adopting tools, interpreting data, and applying best practices.
- Support the organisation’s work toward Science Based Targets (SBTi), contributing to improved data quality and enabling more informed product and portfolio decisions.
- Collaborate closely with sustainability managers and cross-functional teams across divisions, ensuring that tools, processes, and outputs are practical, user-focused, and aligned with business needs.
- Continuously evolve ways of working as sustainability requirements and organisational maturity develop, contributing to a growing and dynamic product sustainability function.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of experience working hands-on with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), including building models and performing assessments.
- Experience implementing or working with LCA/EPD tools (such as iPoint or similar), with an understanding of how to configure models and structure data effectively.
- Experience building and working with environmental datasets, including structuring and combining data to support analysis and reporting needs.
- A strong background in process and method development, with the ability to improve existing ways of working and build new approaches where needed.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, draw meaningful conclusions, and translate insights into practical actions.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
The ideal candidate is a senior, hands-on expert who enjoys working with data, tools, and detailed information, and is comfortable operating in environments where processes are still evolving. you take ownership of bringing structure, clarity, and consistency where it does not yet exist, combining strong analytical capabilities with a solid business understanding that allows them to connect sustainability data to product, operational, and regulatory needs.
You are self-driven, collaborative, and service-minded, with experience working in cross-functional, ideally global or multi-divisional environments where they align stakeholders and support the adoption of new tools and processes. With a strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in helping others understand and apply sustainability data, they thrive at the intersection of technical depth and real business impact.
