Broadway Veterinary Hospital, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, is looking to fill a full-time hybrid role, Kennel Attendant/Client Services to join our team.
From routine checkups to complex medical cases, our dedicated team provides exceptional veterinary care in our community. In the Client Services Representative role, you will provide high quality customer service that meets or exceeds the expectations of our clients. Support the doctors and support staff. Look for ways to continually improve the delivery of services to our clients to ensure that they are treated with respect and compassion.
In the Kennel Attendant role, you will provide daily care for our boarders and assist with kennel maintenance. Their main objective is to properly board our dogs and cats, provide a fun-filled and safe environment for the pets in our care. Additionally, this means interacting with our clients as they pick up and drop off their pets. Working with dogs is a lot of fun, but this job is extremely demanding and requires someone who understands dog behavior and has excellent dog handling skills.
Candidates must be organized, able to communicate clearly with staff and owners, work independently and have a passion for dogs of all sizes and personalities. Candidates must be knowledgeable about dog behavior and body language and able to redirect dogs that are exhibiting inappropriate behavior in a safe manner.
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Essential CSR Job Duties
- Manage the front desk by greeting clients, checking patients in/out, scheduling rechecks and signing visitors and vendors in.
- Know vaccination protocol and common veterinary terms.
- Oversee the clinic flow.
- Manage and assist client in the euthanasia paperwork and aftercare process.
- Discuss payment choices with clients.
- Assist with daily administrative duties such as responding to client texts and emails, emailing medical records, processing medication requests, distributing daily mail and client/doctor correspondence.
- Maintain knowledge of extension numbers to reach employees throughout the network.
- Assist in emergency situations by expediting calls to triage staff members.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Essential Kennel Job Duties:
- MONITORING all boarders indoors and in the play yard.
- Working with a large group of dogs
- Constantly walking and interacting with dogs
- MAINTAINING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT!
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Keeping the facility clean and maintained
- Record keeping, checking in and out dogs.
- Kennel Assistants must be active and attentive at all times
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in client services.
- At least 1 year working within a VETERINARY FIELD is preferred.
- Must be computer literate; basic computer skills with ability to navigate new software.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- The ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
- Handle dogs weighing up to 150 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
