JOB TITLE: Courier - UMMC Batavia - Materials Management (Full-Time, Days)
STATUS: Full-Time
LOCATION: UMMC North Street Campus -127 North Street, Batavia, NY 14020
DEPARTMENT: Materials Management
SCHEDULE: M-F, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
SUMMARY
Responsible for pick up and deliveries. Responsible for receiving and storage of all delivered supplies. Material Management Only: Responsible for timely deliveries of pharmacy supplies, bank bags, mail, med-surge supplies, hospital equipment and special non-stock orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains work areas in a safe, sanitary and orderly manner, demonstrating proper equipment use and sanitation techniques
Obeys all applicable laws and regulations dealing with operation of vehicle and DOT regulations.
Reports all incidents, damage, accidents immediately to manager or supervisor
Ensures US Mail is picked up daily and delivered to the mail room for RRH’s departments/affiliates.
Facilitates delivery requests in regards to pharmaceutical supplies and or drugs.
Handle and delivers medical equipment for clinical technologies to the off sites.
Manages cash bags and receipts for the Finance departments as well as Off-sites and Living Centers as well as cashing checks and making deposits as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid Driver's License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent.
2 to 3 years of prior courier/delivery strongly preferred
Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible.
Ability to read and comprehend directions.
Knowledge of all locals roads and major roads and major landmarks in the surrounding area
Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively

NYS DL - valid New York State Driver's License - New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
