Remote working style

Permanent, part-time 30 hours a week Monday-Friday

working hours between 8am-7pm

ÂŁ38,000 FTE

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Virtual Hospital Service as a Nurse Adviser within our lung health nursing team. In this role, you’ll contribute to delivering high-quality clinical care, taking the lead on key aspects of the patient pathway.

Working closely with the Clinical Services Manager, you’ll help ensure the service is safe, effective, and well-led, supporting a seamless patient experience. You’ll collaborate with hospital and community teams across the pathway, providing patient- and family-centred care, alongside offering advice and education to patients and their carers.

Our lung health nursing team is dedicated to delivering the Targeted Lung Health Check Programme in line with national standards. This includes conducting telephone consultations to proactively identify high-risk patients and facilitate CT lung assessments, supporting early detection and intervention for potential lung cancer.

đź’ˇ About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Complete Lung Health Checks (LHC) via telephone in line with SOPs, including risk scoring and assessing eligibility criteria

  • Deliver brief smoking cessation interventions and refer patients to appropriate services

  • Act as a key point of contact for patients and carers, providing clinical advice, support, and guidance

  • Assess patients’ health and psychosocial needs, supporting shared decision-making

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care within a multidisciplinary team environment

  • Work closely with clinical and management teams to achieve service objectives
