Description
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality Carpentry programmes effectively in line with curriculum requirements.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learner groups.
- Develop and produce effective teaching and learning materials using ILT and multimedia resources.
- Act as a course tutor, providing pastoral support, guidance and academic mentoring to learners.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, design and continuous improvement activities.
- Carry out internal verification and moderation activities to support quality assurance processes.
- Promote high standards of professionalism, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A degree and/or appropriate professional qualification relevant to the department
- Hold a D32/33/A1/TAQA or working towards
- Teaching qualification (e.g. Certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching Qualification) or willingness to work towards
- Hold a D34/V1
- Experience of delivering relevant qualifications
- Experience of internal verification/moderation
- Experience of excellent teaching and learning practice
