Job Description

Hartmann Canada, in Brantford, Ontario is a division of Hartmann Packaging, with over 100 years of business, Hartmann has grown to become the North American leader in manufacturing pulp molded egg cartons.

We are currently building an applicant pool for General Labour (Non-Posted Bench) positions to support our Production Team. These roles contribute to the manufacturing of high-quality molded fibre egg cartons in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This posting is intended to establish a future candidate pool should additional resources be required.

    • $27.15 base rate PLUS
    • Overtime in excess of 40 hours per week: Saturday and Sunday 1.5x rate
    • Shift premiums for hours worked outside of 8am to 4pm 
      • $1.13/hour for all hours worked on the day shift (7am-7pm)
      • $1.50/hour for all hours worked on the night shift (7pm-7am)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Non-posted bench (General Labour) rotate between days & nights on a monthly basis

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
  • Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • 12 hour Continental Shift, 7:00 – 7:00 that rotates days and nights on a monthly basis.

DUTIES:

  • Operate equipment and complete checks to ensure compliance with production, process & quality specifications
  • Observe panel indicators, gauges, other instruments to detect equipment and/or product issues
  • Record and adhere to quality specifications related to weight, colour and functionality requirements
  • Perform additional duties as required by Supervision in compliance with relevant legislation and safety procedures.
  • Utilize a forklift or other equipment to move/transport materials

IDEAL:

  • 18 years of age, and completion of Grade 12 required
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset with the ability to work safely and productively
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods of time with the ability to perform repetitive movements
  • Good communication, ability to work as a team, and in cooperation with colleagues on a shift of 35+ people
  • Reliable, comfortable with labor-intensive work and have a great attitude
