The Forklift Operator is a key player playing a vital part in of the loading, unloading and movement of inventory utilizing fork-lift/pallet jack machinery, optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency and support the production requirements for assigned location. Description for Internal Candidates The Forklift Operator is a key player playing a vital part in of the loading, unloading and movement of inventory utilizing fork-lift/pallet jack machinery, optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency and support the production requirements for assigned location.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Ability to operate and manage technical equipment like the Forklift/Pallet Jack.
- Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse gear.
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
- Down to the wire while securing loads to the Forklift machine before transporting.
- Keep your eyes on the ball to identify workplace safety hazards & adhering to safety management standards.
- Pull or place cartons on the racks.
- The ability to work in a warehouse home team fast-paced environment, with a winning set of communication skills.
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours depending on the daily work volume.
- Have your game on to work a shift with overtime, as necessary (i.e., flexible hours & days)
- Familiarity with Professional Sports Leagues and Teams is a plus.
- Average knowledge in reading and understanding bar codes on boxes utilizing RF scanning equipment (preferred).
- Perform inventory counts accurately.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more, reaching & bending when offloading and separating shipments.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Other responsibilities as required.
