Job Description

Position Summary

Responsibility, accountability and decision-making authority for facilitating the implementation of systems, programs and strategic initiatives that advance system capability. Develops and aligns strategies, initiatives, supporting infrastructure, and budgets that enable the system to achieve results that align with established quality imperatives to create and sustain operational excellence. Communicates system objectives to staff to ensure understanding of quality goals and their alignment. Oversees initiatives and operations, including staff, budget, and vendor management. Measures effectiveness and take steps to ensure continuous improvement of system-wide performance. Facilitates change to advance the organization and uses resources and operational practices to drive execution of plans. Ensures that policies, procedures and practices are operationalized to support safe, reliable care, regulatory compliance, and fosters a continuous learning culture. Accountable for a positive organizational culture in decision making and performance management to influence work attitudes and enhance job satisfaction. Has oversight of the system quality programs such has infection prevention, regulatory compliance, performance improvement and/or patient safety. Member of the system management teams and functions as a key liaison between the leadership teams, staff and physician partners of the health care facility and programs.

Minimum Requirements

Acute Quality and Peer Review Requirements:

Master's Degree in nursing, public health, health care related, education required- or higher.

Certification in related field (for example CPHQ, Infection control, Lean) preferred 

3 to 5 years manager experience in healthcare quality, peer review, or performance improvement experience is required


Ambulatory requirements:

Master's degree is preferred.

3 to 5 years Ambulatory Quality and Population Health experience required. 

Clinical certification (RN, PA, MD) required.
