
Senior Research Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and evaluating research activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, institutional policies, and ethical guidelines. This role involves conducting audits, providing recommendations, and collaborating with research teams to maintain the highest level of compliance and research integrity.Essential Functions
-Plan, organize, and execute audits of research activities to identify compliance gaps, potential risks, and deviations from established standards.
-Monitor ongoing research projects to ensure continuous adherence to regulations and policies throughout the research lifecycle.
-Ensure that research involving human subjects, animals, and sensitive data follows ethical principles and obtains appropriate approvals.
-Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to research teams, ensuring accurate and up-to-date compliance.
-Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, recommendations, and proposed corrective actions.
-Identify opportunities to enhance research compliance processes and procedures, recommending improvements to streamline operations.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree required in Healthcare Management or related field of study
Master's Degree in related field of study preferred
Experience
3+ years of healthcare Internal audit experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of federal regulations, such as the Common Rule, HIPAA, and other relevant research compliance standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them practically.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Working Schedule
Hybrid, depending on business needs. On average, onsite required 2 days per week. Locations can be at Assembly Row in Somerville, MA or 125 Nashua Street, Boston, MA.
