SAP Application Expert

Key points and objectives of the position

Mercedes-Benz Korea is running a template SAP product to operate its core functions of vehicle logistics, sales, finance, controlling and other processes. Thereby we follow a template approach sharing same solutions with other markets to ensure maximum standardization. This approach includes a regional incident and demand management processes steered by our IT colleagues in Singapore.

Furthermore with our strategy Mercedes-Benz Korea pushes for an enterprise transformation and highly efficient processes, structured data on demand and E2E process thinking across all our business units, cross-functions but also IT core processes.

To reach our ambitious targets MBK IT department will take a new approach by leveraging enterprise data platforms, task and process mining approaches to and other solutions identify, optimize, re-engineer the existing IT landscape. We are re-building our IT team by implementing new roles, train all members in the technology on the job and by introducing a new architecture concept to scale fast.

Hence, we are looking for a “ITS SAP Application Expert” will thereby play an important role by

• acting as technical owner for SAP FICO, SD and MM to ensure business continuity
• analyzing and re-designing processes in the area of retail in close collaboration with the business units and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Train on the job how to develop and operate in-house solutions based on Databricks and applying it in productive environment
• Supporting data-driven initiatives by leveraging enterprise data platforms, analytics solutions and digital products to improve business insights and operational efficiency.

 

[Task]

SAP service operations

• Ensure smooth operations of the systems and ensure business continuity
• Manage and support the incident and demand processes
• Coordinate and guide the business user and the regional template owner to ensure best fit for Korea but also regional standardization
• Analyze user requirements for enhancements of existing services, identify possible solutions, estimates and plan the implementation together with relevant stakeholders
• Ensure that project documentation in the relevant repositories is kept up-to-date

 

Business Analyst & Data Platform Solutions (training on the job)

• Identify and analyze potential process optimization within your area of retail vehicle sales, logistics, finance and controlling in close cooperation with the business partners
• Design to be processes and data flow to achieve maximum efficiencies with regard to throughput time, quality, needed resources, etc.
• Analyze business processes, SAP data structures, and data relationships to define business requirements, business rules, and solution logic.
• Design and deliver business applications, digital solutions, and process automation initiatives in collaboration with development teams and business stakeholders.
• Support the implementation, operation, and continuous enhancement of digital solutions to ensure business value and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve requirement analysis, solution design, process optimization, knowledge management, and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate required internal stakeholders across business and IT functions to ensure successful delivery and adoption of solutions.
• Continuously improve your business process, enterprise application, data analytics, automation, and AI-related capabilities through hands-on learning and practical application.

 

Others

• Align with IT but also business management about roadmaps, target processes, KPIs, KT concept etc.
• Monitor and report the progress of the agreed milestones to eMC and SteCo
• Management of suppliers relationships including safeguarding contractual IT supplier relationships are in place and incorporate Mercedes-Benz standard clauses to ensure data protection and data security
• Adhere to all relevant Mercedes-Benz policies, procedures and standards in order to achieve quality and compliance of solution and services
• Ensure that project documentation in the relevant repositories is kept up-to-date

메르세데스-벤츠 코리아는 차량 물류, 판매, 재무, 관리회계(Controlling) 및 기타 핵심 업무를 운영하기 위해 SAP 템플릿 시스템을 사용하고 있습니다. 또한 최대한의 표준화를 위해 다른 국가 법인과 동일한 솔루션을 공유하는 템플릿 기반 접근 방식을 따르고 있습니다. 이러한 운영 방식에는 싱가포르 IT 조직이 주도하는 지역 단위의 인시던트 및 요구사항 관리 프로세스가 포함됩니다.

또한 메르세데스-벤츠 코리아는 기업 혁신(Enterprise Transformation)을 추진하고 있으며, 효율적인 프로세스 구축, 필요 시 활용 가능한 구조화된 데이터 확보, 그리고 비즈니스 조직과 IT 전반에 걸친 End-to-End 프로세스 사고방식을 강화하고 있습니다.

이를 위해 IT 부서는 엔터프라이즈 데이터 플랫폼, 태스크 마이닝(Task Mining), 프로세스 마이닝(Process Mining) 및 기타 솔루션을 활용하여 기존 IT 환경을 분석·최적화·재설계하는 새로운 접근 방식을 도입하고 있습니다. 또한 새로운 역할을 신설하고, 실무 중심의 교육을 제공하며, 확장 가능한 새로운 아키텍처 개념을 도입하여 IT 조직을 재구축하고 있습니다.

이에 따라 "ITS SAP Application Expert"는 다음과 같은 역할을 수행하게 됩니다.

• SAP FICO, SD, MM 영역의 기술 오너로서 비즈니스 연속성을 보장
• 비즈니스 부서 및 유관 조직과 협업하여 리테일 영역의 프로세스를 분석 및 재설계
• Databricks 기반의 사내 솔루션 개발 및 운영 방법을 실무를 통해 학습하고 실제 환경에 적용
• 엔터프라이즈 데이터 플랫폼, 분석 솔루션 및 디지털 제품을 활용하여 데이터 기반 이니셔티브를 지원하고 비즈니스 인사이트 및 운영 효율성 향상에 기여

[ENG]

Education 

• University degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or Engineering with additional certificates, degrees or experience in Information Services

 

Experience

SAP Service Operations:

• Experienced in operating SAP VELO, FICO, SD, MM, Fiori, Idocs (ALE, EDI) and SAP integration with legacy systems including basic knowledge on middleware / complex interface.

• Knowledge on access management and risk control using GRC, release and test management (regression, integration, user acceptance), incident and demand management

   

Business Analyst

• Very good understanding of the Finance, controlling and vehicle wholesale logistic processes
• Experience how to bridge the gap between IT and business
• Experience in finding the balance what is technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable
• Experience in process analysis, design and re-design

• KPI and data driven mindset                          

   

Experience with data platform solutions is preferred; training will be provided on the job.

• Ideally Knowledge of Databricks solution or similar products
• Understanding of data modeling, basic UX principles, and data- and object-oriented thinking.

• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve business analysis, requirement engineering, solution design, knowledge management, and operational efficiency.
