Gate Monitor - PT

Job Summary: The Gate Monitor is responsible for the inventory leaving the yard area of our store.  An accurate count of all materials that leave the yard is a major task in addition to other clerical duties.  This person should be knowledgeable in building materials, have accurate counting skills, and display a friendly and courteous attitude.  This person must interact well with customers and fellow associates. Qualifications: Education: Basic education that includes the ability to competently read and write. Training and Experience: Building material knowledge and computer skills are preferred. Job Knowledge: Not required but lumber and building material knowledge and computer skills are preferred. Physical Demands: Work requires little physical effort.  Involves sitting, standing, walking, and some light lifting regularly.  Works in an air-conditioned environment.  Work requires little physical effort, and involves sitting, standing, walking, and some light lifting regularly.  Works in and out of an air-conditioned environment.
