Temporary Scientist
• This position will be in the Pharmacokinetics (PK) and Pharmacodynamics (PD) Assay Development group within the Biologics Clinical Pharmacology of the Biotechnology Center of Excellence.
• The PK/PD Assay group develops and validates assays to measure biopharmaceutical products and their targets (target engagement) in biological matrices from non-clinical and clinical studies. The primary responsibility for this position will be to develop immunological methods for supporting nonclinical and clinical PK studies under GLP guidelines.
• Additional responsibilities include assay trouble shooting, development of new technology platform, and assay automation.
• The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related scientific discipline with 1-2 years of experience.
• Individuals with strong technical expertise and direct experience in a variety of bioanalytical methods (ELISA, ECLIA, RIA) using different immunological and biochemical platforms, such as MSD, Gyros, Singulex or other platforms and familiarity with any automation platforms are preferred.
• The candidate should have “hands on” PK/PD assay development experience including antibody conjugation and antibody pair selection for an immunoassay.
• The candidate must be able to work with human and animal blood specimens.
• Candidates must have excellent record keeping, writing and communication skills, and a customer-oriented mind set.
• Working knowledge of or experience with electronic laboratory notebooks and electronic inventory software would be ideal.
• Candidates should demonstrate multi-tasking skills and the ability to work under tight timelines in a team environment.
