
Planning engineer
Job Description
The Planning Engineer is to develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project execution. This involves collaboration with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to align project timelines and resources.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Interface with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary project data.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations to the baseline, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Prepare regular progress reports, including schedule updates, earned value analysis, and performance metrics.
- Facilitate planning meetings and workshops to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or a related field.
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in project planning within the oil and gas sector, energy sector and infrastructure sector.
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6 preferred).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and good English capability.
