Now hiring Make Ready Technicians at Idylwood Apartments!
Step into a fast-paced, hands-on role where your work directly impacts the resident experience every day. Our 720-unit apartment community in Cheektowaga, NY is seeking a dependable Make Ready Technician who takes pride in preparing apartment homes for new residents and thrives in a team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working with their hands, and handling a variety of tasks including drywall repair, touch-up painting, plumbing and basic electrical repairs, apartment punch work, trash-outs, grounds support, and general carpentry. HVAC knowledge is a plus, and flexibility to occasionally assist nearby sister properties as needed is highly valued.
Drywall repair and touch-up painting
Plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
Basic electrical repairs and fixture replacement
Caulking and apartment touch-ups
Trash-out and debris removal
Moving appliances, furniture, and other heavy items as needed
Testing locks and key sets
Assisting with property inspections and apartment walks
Maintaining grounds and common areas including trash pickup, sweeping sidewalks and breezeways, etc.
Assisting Maintenance Technicians, Porters, and Housekeeping as needed
General carpentry repairs preferred
HVAC knowledge is a plus, but not required
Occasional travel to nearby sister property may be required based on business needs
Compensation & Incentives
Base Pay: $23.00 –$25.00 /hr
Up to 20% Rent Discount
Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions
Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly
On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone

Hours & Schedule
Monday – Friday: 8 AM- 4:30 PM
Paid rotating on-call participation required (approximately once every 7 weeks)
Must be available and prepared for emergency events as needed

What we’ll expect from you:
Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
Experience with apartment turns, drywall, plumbing, and general maintenance preferred.
HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred, but not required.
One year of related maintenance experience, or equivalent education and experience.
