About this role:

The person in this role will be responsible for safely and effectively maintaining and servicing numerous types of warehouse equipment and systems to include but not limited to commercial dock doors, dock equipment and commercial entry doors. 

Job Type and ScheduleFull time, M-F 8-hour shift with overtime available

  • Compensation range: $23.00 - $30.00 / hour depending on experience

Responsibilities 

  • Read schematics, diagrams, blueprints in order to perform diagnostic and repairs  
  • Perform on-site repairs in the field as needed as well as overhead door and dock equipment maintenance if requested 
  • Service, repair, install and perform maintenance requests on commercial dock doors, dock equipment, high speed rolling doors, and commercial entry doors  
  • Design, fabricate and weld warehouse aftermarket product line  
  • Perform maintenance and install EOD’s, dock levelers, vehicle restraints, scissor lifts, dock seals and shelters, freight lifts and others as required 
  • Adjust, lay-out, position, align and fit components required at each job site
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of commercial dock and overhead door experience preferred
  • Ability to safely and effectively drive a company vehicle 
  • Proficient fitting and welding from shop blueprints 
  • MIG and ARC welding experience preferred 
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting 
  • Basic math skills involving measurements and installations 
  • Computer and tablet proficient to maintain inventory and work orders 
  • Customer Service and communication skills  
  • Strong time management skills  
  • Self-motivated 
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs. Ability to continuously lift and bend, climb ladders up to 20’ in height, work on knees for extended periods of time, and proficient operating power tools 
  • Able to sit, stand, push, pull, stoop, bend, kneel crouch, reach, climb, or crawl on a frequent basis
