POSITION SUMMARY


Be at the forefront of vaccine innovation - where your scientific excellence directly shapes what comes next. We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to generate high-quality clinical immunogenicity data that drives decision-making across our translational research programs. Reporting to the Director, Translational Immunology, you will work cross-functionally across the team to support immune response characterization in vaccines undergoing first-in-human testing. Your contributions will influence real-time scientific direction and help advance products with the potential to save lives around the globe.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Execute high-complexity cell-based immunoassays, (e.g., flow cytometry, ICS and ELISpot) to assess immune responses in clinical samples from studies evaluating candidate vaccines..
  • Prepare and quality-control key reagents—including peptide pools and fluorescent antibodies—to ensure timely, reproducible assay execution, and reliable interpretation of clinical study data.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity and documentation, including detailed record keeping in electronic lab notebooks (ELNs), sample inventories, and adherence to SOPs for reproducibility and traceability.
  • Contribute to smooth lab operations by organizing and tracking reagents and samples, coordinating inventory, and ensuring accessibility of materials to the broader team.
  • Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data in team meetings. Deliver reproducible, decision-driving datasets that enable candidate selection and program advancement. 
  • With support, design, optimize and troubleshoot experiments and methods.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant biological education on principles of cell biology and/or fundamentals of immunology
  • Willingness to work with BSL2+ pathogens is required
  • Experience with principles, design and execution of flow cytometry experiments is required
  • Proficiency in mammalian cell culture is required
  • Experience with flow cytometry software such as FlowJo preferred
  • Experience with primary cell culture handling and techniques preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • The salary range for this position is $35.00 to $40.00 per hour. Compensation will depend on skills, experience, and comparison to current employees in similar roles. Salary ranges may vary based on location.
