Job Summary

The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham’s unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites.

We are located at 383 Paradise Rd, Swampscott, MA and at 1 Hutchinson Drive in Danvers, MA. As an OB/GYN office, our obstetricians and gynecologists provide high-quality conscientious care to our patients, including annual check-ups, pre-and postnatal care, and sophisticated gynecologic surgery. Many of our physicians are specially trained in performing minimally invasive procedures.

We are seeking a 32-hour RN Lead to support our practice onsite. The practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The primary location is our Swampscott office, with additional sites in Danvers, Beverly, and Peabody.

The role consists of approximately 70–80% triage responsibilities, with leadership duties including coordinating schedule coverage, communicating workflow updates, leading daily huddles, participating in monthly meetings, and partnering with the practice manager on team performance. The lead RN should have prior leadership experience and either an OB/GYN background or experience leading in another clinical specialty.

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Acts in a lead capacity to other nursing staff.

Essential Functions:
-Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
-Administer medication to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
-Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
-Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
-Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
-Demonstrates best practices for staff to follow.
-May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.


 

Qualifications

Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required

Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - required

Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred

Experience
Clinical Nursing Experience 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
- Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
