The Opportunity
At Allegro MicroSystems, our manufacturing excellence is built on the expertise of our technical teams. As a Senior Technician, you will be a highly skilled trades professional at the forefront of our equipment reliability strategy. You will join a dynamic environment where you will tackle the most complex electromechanical challenges, ensuring our automated systems perform at peak capacity. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to lead critical maintenance projects that directly support our mission to "Sense the Future."
What You Will Do
- Expert Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve the most complex equipment failures, specifically focusing on intermittent or system-level problems that require deep technical insight.
- Project Leadership: Lead high-complexity repair, overhaul, or installation projects for key manufacturing equipment, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to specification.
- Mentorship & Training: Act as a technical mentor to the broader technician team, training others on advanced troubleshooting techniques and the operation of new equipment.
- Performance Optimization: Proactively analyze equipment performance data to identify trends. You will recommend and implement strategic improvements to maintenance procedures to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Autonomous Operation: Work with a high level of independence to partner with engineering teams in improving equipment reliability and performance across the production floor.
What You Will Bring
- Educational Foundation: A High School diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years of experience in a technical support role. An Associate’s degree or advanced technical certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Mastery: Broad and comprehensive knowledge of complex electromechanical systems, robotics, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Problem-Solving Excellence: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with a proven track record of resolving difficult, multi-faceted equipment issues.
- Leadership Capability: Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead technical projects from inception to completion.
- Analytical Mindset: The ability to interpret equipment data to drive proactive maintenance and process improvements.
