This Position is Hybrid with Two in- Office Days Per Week

How to be Successful in the Role: To be successful, you will need a comprehensive understanding of Human Resources, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and HCM systems, financial transactions, timekeeping, Excel, and data management. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, analytical, knows how to assess and execute priorities, and who is customer service focused. Strong organization, acting with a sense of urgency, and time management skills area must in this position as well as strong written and verbal communication.

Core Daily Responsibilities:

  • Workday HCM Task/Transactions: Review, make determinations, and process daily tasks/transactions pertaining to the management of county personnel functions.

  • Assist county department staff in researching, troubleshooting a variety of Workday issues pertaining to the management of county personnel functions.

  • Respond to inquiries and provide information about human resources guidelines, policies, regulations or procedures.

  • Process personnel transactions, input information into various computerized systems.

  • Monitor, audit, and rectify as needed various reports · Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.

  • Assist with expense claims, purchasing, and create requisitions and purchase orders. · Develop and implement internal office procedures; recommend changes in procedures or guidelines to facilitate effectiveness.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with County officials, employees and the general public.

  • Assist human resource staff in conducting and administering a variety of human resource functions such as recruitment and selection processes; wage and compensation surveys; leave administration; training; and employee relations activities.

  • Assist with research projects; prepare written reports and statistical data.

  • Conduct surveys of other employers’ practices.

  • Take notes during investigatory and other confidential meetings.

Additional education or experience which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position may substitute on a year for year basis for qualifications listed

  • Four years of general office/administrative experience
  • At least 1 year of human resource related experience
  • Post-secondary education may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience on a year-for-year basis
  • A resume and cover letter must be submitted with your application

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Workday (HRIS/HCM system)
  • Experience in NeoGov (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources
