About the Position
As a System Engineer (IP Transport), you will play a central role in designing and further developing our state-of-the-art IP transport network architecture. You will be significantly involved in the design, optimization, and implementation of complex IP network solutions, contributing your deep expertise in Segment Routing (SR-MPLS/SRv6) and various VPN technologies (L2VPN/L3VPN).
A key focus of your role will also be driving network automation initiatives, for example using Python and Ansible, to ensure efficiency and scalability. We are looking for a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills who can collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative transport solutions.
Must-Have Skills
- Familiarity with agile project management and product thinking methods
- Professional stakeholder management (e.g., with vendors and partners) and excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Technical leadership in projects
- Strong expertise in IP network architecture & design, along with strategic thinking
- Solid knowledge of test management and system integration
- Ability to connect design, test management, and system integration activities
- Strong knowledge of Segment Routing (SR-MPLS/SRv6)
- Hands-on experience with VPN technologies (L2VPN/L3VPN)
- Proven skills in test automation (e.g., Python, CI/CD knowledge)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Integration, further development, and maintenance of a lab environment
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with optical transport networks
- Skilled in effectively using AI-based tools in daily work
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of SDN/NFV principles and architectures
- Familiarity with network security concepts and best practices
- Certifications in relevant networking technologies (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, Nokia SRC)
- Experience with network telemetry and data analytics
