Purpose of the Role
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for:
Ensuring all manufacturing equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are available and reliable.
Minimizing downtime and improving plant productivity.
Leading CAPEX (capital expenditure) projects.
Managing safety, statutory compliance, and environmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance & Reliability
Ensure plant machinery and utilities are always operational.
Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Improve equipment performance and reliability.
Manage spare parts and vendor contracts.
2. CAPEX Management
Design and specify equipment and infrastructure improvements.
Prepare engineering assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
Manage procurement, installation, commissioning, and contractors.
Deliver projects within budget and timeline.
3. Cost Management
Manage annual maintenance budgets.
Control repair and maintenance expenses.
Drive productivity, energy savings, and cost reduction initiatives.
4. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
Lead plant safety programs and compliance activities.
Support audits and maintain statutory records.
Drive environmental sustainability initiatives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Team Leadership
Lead maintenance supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
Coach and develop team members.
Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, Finance, and HR.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering preferred.
8–10 years of maintenance experience in Food, FMCG, Pharma, or process industries.
