POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Training Manager (Retail) will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and delivering strategic training initiatives within a designated retail territory within DTLR. They create and facilitate in-person and virtual training focused on sales, service, business acumen, policies, procedures, and leadership skills in support of driving organizational performance. They will also serve as a key resource for the leadership team in each store within their territory. This individual should effectively exhibit DTLR’s core values of culture, community, and connection in everything they do by performing the following key duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with Retail leadership to align on priorities and goals of training to achieve the training vision.

  • Develops and maintains training content and resources within the e-learning platform and other resources.

  • Oversees execution of, tracks, and reports upon in-store training within a designated territory.

  • Orientates and trains new and internally promoted managers on policies and procedures through training plans and learning modules to ensure stable integration within their new roles.

  • Manages those within the Liaison program through sign-off processes to ensure trainees have been orientated into their new role per company policies and procedures.

  • Works closely with regional and area-level leadership to solve specific training opportunities.

  • Works cross-functionally across the organization to maximize opportunities in relevant territories.

  • Identifies stores with good practices and availability to welcome and train new team members and Management.

  • Incorporates business changes, changes in best practices, and new priorities into training strategy and execution.

  • Partners with the People Team to align and make available learning programs for store training and development.

  • Recommends process improvements to management as information is obtained from training feedback and development gaps.

  • Builds effective partnerships with retail employees around training initiatives and succession.

  • Facilitates and/or aid in the coordination of training programs for all employees.

  • Additional duties and projects as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years of recent training program design, Human Resource Development, or related experience and/or training.

  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Education, Business Administration, or related field of expertise required.

  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Work requires a solid knowledge of business and an excellent command of the English language to effectively communicate with management, associates, and customers.

  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Skilled in needs assessment and development of appropriate training programs.

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Must demonstrate an ability to think strategically, plan, and organize effectively.

  • Must be able to maintain an exemplary degree of professionalism in all situations.

  • Work requires outstanding communication and leadership skills with a strong attention to detail.

  • Results-driven with demonstrated critical and creative thinking skills. Project management, time management, analytical, and superior organizational skills are required.

  • Proven ability to plan, organize, multi-task, set priorities effectively and efficiently to proactively respond to changing demands from multiple sources.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment, with the ability to use compassion and diplomacy.

  • The ability to execute directives with precision and consistency.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.

The company reserves the right to modify this job description with or without notice. Employees may be asked to perform additional duties outside of normal job scope on a temporary basis per the company policy. Pay range: $65,000 - $75,000 (Depending on Experience) + Bonus Potential. This role will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401k, sick leave, and company paid time off plan.
