Job Description
REPORTING TO/DEPARTMENT:
Reports to the Director of Supply Chain in the Procurement/Planning department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews MRP output derived from customer orders, MPS, service forecast, upgrades, etc. and ensures that purchase orders are placed in time to support.
- Manages department employees, as well as BPO resources assigned to the department
- Provides leadership and development of procurement strategies that align with company objectives, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials aligned with company’s Supply Chain goals and objectives for quality, delivery, cost and working capital.
- Participates in change management, ECO, Long Term Agreements (LTAs) and New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Regularly monitors and reports on departmental KPIs and program initiatives.
- Regularly reviews vendor master changes to validate SOX compliance.
- Reviews and plans for major product changes and new product introductions to ensure effective implementation
- Develop and implement visibility and predictability tools/dashboards
- Develop relationships with suppliers, establish performance metrics, ensure compliance with terms and conditions and evaluate supplier performance.
- Drive continuous improvement on ERP tools and processes.
- Responsible for reviewing excess and obsolescence (E&O) and executing appropriate actions, teaming with Finance, to ensure minimal financial adjustment.
- Maintains Approved Supplier Listing (ASL) and make recommendations for changes in status (approved, conditional, blocked, etc.).
- Drive best practice sharing globally across functions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Operations Management, or related field required
- 8-10 years as Manager, Materials in related industry
- Experience in motivating and leading others.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance programs (ISO, FDA) and quality systems regulations,
- Excellent understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their manufacturing related processes, and production floor process flows.
- Above average problem-solving skills, including proven experience in use of problem-solving models. Demonstrated success in implementing best practices.
- Strategic thinking ability to develop long-term procurement and planning strategies that align with business goals.
- Ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with cross functional team members.
- Excellent verbal, written, and teamwork skills.
- Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to high standards of excellence and integrity.
- Experience in SAP or SAP S/4 HANA preferred
