Description
The Professional, Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) supports the delivery of high quality software (Logikal) by designing and executing test activities within an established framework. The role works independently on defined testing tasks and contributes directly to functional results. The Professional develops test cases, executes manual and automated tests, tracks defects and collaborates with development and product teams to clarify requirements. The role checks QA processes, recommends improvements and may provide informal support to less experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Designs and maintains test cases, test plans and test scenarios.
- Executes manual and automated tests across multiple platforms.
- Reviews requirements and supports the creation of accurate test scenarios.
- Tracks defects and issues and communicates them to development teams.
- Supports functional, regression, UI and integration testing activities.
- Describes QA practices, solutions and procedures to stakeholders.
- Escalates complex issues to senior team members.
- Checks testing processes and recommends improvements that enhance efficiency.
- Solves routine testing problems using prior experience and available guidance.
- Proposes solutions and enhancements for review by leaders.
- Provides informal day to day support to less experienced QA colleagues.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience in software quality assurance or related testing roles.
- Understanding of test design, test execution and defect tracking.
- Ability to work independently within established QA frameworks.
- Clear communication skills with developers, product teams and other stakeholders.
- Ability to identify routine issues and recommend practical improvements.
- Education and experience in software testing, computer science or a related field.
